After the Flood: Heat Pump Destroyed

The summer 2021 flood left a trail of destruction in Rheinbach as well. One street was particularly affected and completely submerged. As a result, the heat pump, which had been the primary source of heating for the affected houses, was severely damaged.

The entire heating industry was already struggling with supply chain issues and a general shortage of building materials. This made it extremely difficult to quickly procure and install a replacement heat pump.

3 x 150 kW: Mobile Heating Units for Entire Street

A fast temporary solution was needed to protect residents from the cold temperatures. The MW24 team acted quickly by installing three powerful mobile heating units, each with 150 kW capacity, and successfully putting them into operation.

The rapid deployment of these heating units prevented residents from suffering in the cold and allowed them to maintain comfort and security in their homes.

The summer 2021 flood, which devastated large parts of Germany, was one of the worst in the country’s history. Heavy rainfall, combined with already saturated ground, caused river levels to rise rapidly, leading to severe flooding across multiple regions.
