On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, a team of 17 stepped in to provide heat and hot water to residents of a high-rise building experiencing a heating system failure. Over 200 apartmenet were affected, and an immediate replacement for the broken system was not available.
50 Meters of Hose Across 16 Floors
To prevent residents from facing a cold Easter, the team set up a mobile heating unit with a capacity of 1 megawatt. The main challenge was that the failed heating system was located on the roof. The technicians from Mobile Wärme 24 had to run 50 meters of those through the stairwell, spanning 16 floors to reach the rooftop unit.
